Born in 1980 in Poland, lives and works in France. Wojtek Doroszuk graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland (MFA in 2006, Interdisciplinary Studio of Zbigniew Sałaj and Grzegorz Sztwiertnia); in 2005 he obtained a sholarship at Sabanci University in Istanbul (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Video Studio of Yoong Wah Alex Wong).

 

He participated in various international exhibitions and screenings programs at, among others, Zachęta National Gallery of Art (Warsaw), Museum of Modern Art (Warsaw), Location One (New York), Anthology Film Archives (New York), Marina Abramovic Institute (San Francisco), Kunstmuseum Bonn, HKW (Berlin), ICA (London), Casino Luxembourg, Fondation Ricard (Paris), Galerie Joseph Tang (Paris) etc.

Doroszuk is a recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland (2004, 2009); awarded the Main Prize at the 8th Eugeniusz Geppert Competition (BWA Gallery of Contemporary Art, Wrocław, Poland, 2007), the Public Award of Deutsche Bank Art Prize ( Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw, Poland, 2009), the Honorable Mention of 15th Media Art Biennale (Wroclaw, Poland, 2013).
